The amazing growth of the Australian wine exporting industry.
Australian wine has a very successful export history. Each year the Australian Bureau of Statistics publish the annual exports of Australian produced wine which show there has been strong growth over a long period of years. Between 1991-92 and 2006-07 exports of Australian wine increased every year except from a small fall in 1994-95. The 1992-93 financial year saw Australia export more than 100 million litres of wine for the first time. Six years later in the 1998-99 financial year, wine exports exceeded 200 million litres of wine for the first time. From this period wine exports grew rapidly, with more than 300 million litres of wine sold to overseas markets during 2000-01, reaching a total export volume of 787.1 million litres in 2006-07. The volume of Australian made wine exported in 2006-07 was 9.3% more than the volume in 2005-06. Further, this export volume for 2006-07 was more than double the volume in 2000-01 and ten times the amount exported in 1991-92.

The green bean has a long, slender green pod with small seeds inside. The entire pod is edible. It’s also called string bean (because of the fibrous string ? now bred out of the species ? that used to run down the pod’s seam) and snap bean (for the sound the bean makes when broken in half). The wax bean is a pale yellow variety of green bean. Green beans are available year-round, with a peak season of May to October. Choose slender beans that are crisp, bright-colored and free of blemishes. Store in the refrigerator, tightly wrapped in a plastic bag, for up to 5 days. Cook gently by steaming or simmering just until tender-crisp. Green beans have a fair amount of vitamins A and C.

You can actually produce your very own espresso powder using the brewed grounds from your espresso coffee machine.
Espresso powder starts off just like any other coffee grind starts off: it is the result of processing a variety of coffee beans grown and harvested specifically to make this frothy coffee drink.
For the best flavor and aroma, the beans are ground as close as possible before actual brewing. When most people brew a shot of espresso, they simply throw out the brewed grounds.
But wait. These brewed grounds can actually be recycled. If you keep them, you can dry them and then crush them into a fine powder.

Memory is a strange thing; last night when I was cooking, I was certain that I was making this up as I went along with just a bare reference to something I read on E2. Having re-read it though, I have to be honest and admit that this dish is almost completely filched from The Debutante’s great Saluna recipe.
The green beans exude aromatic flavors and have an interesting chewy texture. I do not fry the beans as long as traditional recipes call for because I want them to have some texture left. Cover the dried shrimp with hot water for 30 minutes. Drain. Chop into the consistency of coarse bread crumbs.

The fried Gobi pieces to this mixture and depending upon the dryness of the mixture, you may add 2 more tablespoons of the sweet & sour sauce. Same procedure for veg. manchurian, but instead of using only cauliflower, use finely chopped minced vegetables and bind with some cornflour or bread crumbs and make small lumps the size of a pingpong ball. Fry as above and proceed as above.
